A LOONNNGGGGG time ago, I had a crush on Elvis. Then, it was John Wayne. Lindsey Wagner, then Signourney Weaver. I have ALWAYS had a thing for Phil Collins. But generally, actors, actresses, personalities, not really my thing. Till.....welll....Mira Sorvino, in The Replacement Killers with Chow Yun-Fat. My favorite scene is between Mira and Jurgen Prochnow. He is stalking Mira and says that he is going to kill her, but he suggests that she could save him time and just shoot herself, he would do that for her if he were in her shoes. And, of course, very soon, he is. And she asks:
"Well, are you?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"Now that our positions are reversed, will you shoot yourself?"
He turns and she shoots him dead.
"I didn't think so."
Great! It is a phrase that is repeated throughout the movie, often when someone that says they will do something is called on it, and whimps out.
Barak Obama, great President?
I didn't think so.
